Pop Goes the Monkey

So, July is almost over and we had a good/busy one. Peter’s birthday was a little over a week ago so I’m a little late on this but better late than never, right? The town we live in has Fiesta Days every July, usually right around Peter’s birthday and his birthday was the opening night of the carnival so we took the kids there. Unfortunately, Peter has been getting some new teeth so he wasn’t feeling great that day. Then on Friday we went to the parade with the McGhie’s and on Saturday we went up to the cabin for a little family birthday party. I will say that I will never again order a birthday cake from Albertson’s. I haven’t had the best luck this month with our orders. When I went to get Peter’s it was decorated wrong so they had to take off the icing and re-do it. I had ordered a Pixar car’s cake and it was a generic one. Oh well. The kids are playing together right now so hopefully I have time to pull some pictures off the camera. And of course I threw in a couple of baby ones just to show how much he has grown.

Speaking of growing, I must add that we took him to the doctor the day after his birthday and he is tiny. He was born at 7 pounds 1 ounce which was a decent size, especially for being 3 weeks early but he is tall and skinny. He currently weighs in at 18-1/2 pounds and 31.5 inches which puts him in the 4th percentile for weight and 75th for height.

So we started off the birthday celebrations Friday morning with a party outside. Since Cassie’s friends range from 18 months to 12 we just had some kids over for cake and did a pinata. Then on Monday morning Adam and I both worked that morning but had the afternoon together. We spontanoeusly decided to take her along with a couple of neighbor kids to Jumping Jacks to play. She had so much fun and hopefully Cambry and Winston did too. Then we had Grandma and Grandpa DeMarco, Ang, Sophie, and Emilie over. We finished the evening with a princess cake. I think it was a pretty good day for Cassie overall.

Our little girl turned 3 yesterday which seems just crazy! I have tons and tons of pictures from her birthday to post but I can’t find the camera cord right now. I did however want to wish her a happy birthday and put up some old pictures of her until I find the cord so enjoy! Hopefully I will find the cord soon to add the new pictures. I can’t believe how much she has grown from the little 5 pound 13 ounce baby to a big 3-year-old! We love you Cassie!
