Go Dawgs!

College football tips off this weekend! I’m really excited about Georgia’s chances for a national title. They start the year off number one for the first time in school history. They have a tough, tough road ahead of them though. In fact, ESPN rated Georgia’s schedule as the most difficult in the country.

They play at South Carolina, at #15 Arizona State, at #7 LSU, and at #10 Auburn. At home they get #18 Tennessee, #24 Alabama, and the always difficult Georgia Tech. Oh, and I forgot #5 Florida in Jacksonville. Oh, and if they are able to survive all this, they have to make it through the SEC championship game.

All told, it has to be one of the most difficult seasons in college football history, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed. It’s definitely time that we win a title.

I’m also excited to see how BYU’s and Utah’s seasons play out. Either one has a great shot at being in the BCS this season. I think there is even a scenario where BYU could end up in the national title game. Maybe I’ll blog about that later.

Well, have fun watching your favorite teams everyone.

About Adam

Hey, I’m Adam Thomson. I am married to Sandy Thomson and with our two beautiful children, Cassie and Peter, we make up the Thomson clan.

I was born in 1979 and spent the vast majority of my childhood in Utah, although we did like in Kansas and Alabama for a few years. After high school, I attended the University of Georgia for a few years before running out of money and having to find a job to support myself.

I now work as a software engineer/project manager at a company called CirclePix.com and have been doing so for the past 8 years. As far as programming goes, I’m a PHP guru and lately have loved working with Adobe flex. I manage a great group of guys and love the CirclePix atmosphere.

In the summer of 2002, I met my beutiful wife and we were married in January of ‘03. After struggling to make ends meet for a few years, we were finally able to buy a home in Spanish Fork in 2005. Cassie was then born in 2006 and Peter in 2008.

That’s pretty much my history. As far as my hobbies and what not, I’m a pretty boring guy. I love to read and play with my children. I love watching sports. I love college football, the NFL, the NBA, and Nascar. I also love to play fantasy sports. My wife and I love our neighborhood and enjoy having friends over for casual parties.

I am also an uapploagetic nerd and enjoy playing video games and watching movies/TV. I am in the process of creating a media server where I have all my movies, plus just about every other movie I can get my hands on, stored on it for easy access.

Well, that’s pretty much it.
