Blank : 90mm Standard Round Bases

These bases measure 90 mm in diameter and are the standard 3mm thick. On the bottom of each base are areas that allow you to securely glue a few 5 x 1 mm disc magnets in place, making it ideal for those wanting to magnetize them for easier transport and storage.

Our customers find that these bases are suitable for vehicles, large dreadnoughts and some flying units. They can also handy for larger figures use by many other 28-32mm scale games and tabletop roleplaying systems.

PolyApe-12 is a nylon plastic that offers excellent strength and durability. It is a matte white material that can be easily dyed any color you want, even with a simple Sharpie pen, or you can leave it white and paint it. This material is porous enough to accept acrylic paint color without the need for a primer; however, it may provide a nice dark starting point to paint on if you do. We recommend using super glue to attach parts to this material.

To dye our PolyApe-12 bases, add your selected synthetic fabric dye (RIT DyeMore) to some hot water (near boiling). This way the dye can easily dissolve, allowing the bases to absorb the dye quickly. Submerge the bases and maintain the heat until the bases reach you desired color intensity. Rinse the bases thoroughly in cold water and allow to air dry before using.
